Our Child Health Associates Acute Care Clinic (ACC) will be opening October 1, 2025! We are excited to be able to offer more patients access to care and increase the services we provide.
This dedicated clinic, for Child Health Associates patients only, will offer same-day appointments for acute issues only such as illnesses, minor injuries, and other non-emergent concerns. Acute symptoms appear suddenly and are usually short-lived, while chronic symptoms develop gradually and persist over a longer period, often months or years. For all chronic concerns, please contact our office directly to speak with a nurse and schedule an appointment in our Primary Care Office.
If your child is medically complex, please call the office to schedule an appointment in our Primary Care Clinic so that we can check the availability of their PCP who knows them best and provide a sufficient amount of time for the appointment for you to discuss your concerns.
If you have any questions regarding your child’s symptoms, seeking home care advice, or are unsure if scheduling an appointment in the acute care clinic would be appropriate, please contact the office to discuss this with a triage nurse.
Examples of acute concerns to be seen at our ACC would be:

If your child is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please dial 911 and seek emergency care:
Our Acute Care Clinic will be located at the front of our CHA Auburn location at 105 Millbury St. Auburn, MA. Please park at the front of our building and enter through our Acute Care Clinic entrance located at the front, right, of the building. All Primary Care Office patients will continue to park at the rear of the building and enter our main entrance around the back.
The clinic will only allow for the scheduling of same-day sick visits. Appointments will be available to book through MyChart starting daily at 6 a.m. You will not be able to schedule appointments for the following day. Appointments must be scheduled at least 1 hour in advance.
CHA nurses will be monitoring our online bookings throughout the day. If you receive a call from our office after scheduling an appointment online, it may be to clarify the booking to ensure that it is appropriate to have your child seen in our Acute Care Clinic. If not, our triage nurses will guide you on the best plan of care for your child.
If you are seeking appointments for more than one child on the same day, please schedule an appointment for each. Please ensure that you are in the correct MyChart account for the child you are looking to schedule. You may not be able to book two consecutive appointments and that is ok, we will arrange our schedule to have both children seen at the same time. When noting the child’s symptoms, please mention that a sibling is booked as well. Also, when you arrive, please inform the secretary that you have more than one child being seen.
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (volume dependent)
The clinic may close early if patient volume is low.
If you do not already have access to MyChart, please call to speak with our receptionists to register or stop by the front desk when you are in the office for your next visit.
